In the unending battle of "Who Can Outdo The Other in 3G Coverage," it appears that the dust may have settled…for now.
Cult of Mac learned that both Verizon and AT&T have indeed filed for an official dismissal of the their case in an Atlanta federal court. Verizon in return also asked for their counter-suit against AT&T to be dismissed as well.
The fight had pretty much come to a standstill as it was anyway, with a judge having already denied AT&T's request to have Verizon remove its ads. AT&T's case for having the ads removed had been considered weak in the decision. While Verizon's ads could have been construed to lead one to believe it was referring to all of AT&T's voice and data connections, the ads were firm in specifying that it was referring to 3G coverage.
