Video: The “Iconic” iPad Commercial
The Verizon iPhone 4 isn’t the only thing that Apple is touting in its recent commercials -- the company has just unveiled their latest showcasing the iPad, which Cupertino reminds us is an “iconic” device.
9to5Mac is reporting that Apple has posted a new commercial for the iPad which shows off “several innovative applications for the device.” Among them are a djay app, The Wall Street Journal and color books in Apple’s own iBooks as well as the Pages component of the mobile iWork.
The spot begins with describing what the iPad is, starting with “fresh” (which involves scanning a boarding pass from American Airlines right from the tablet), “news” (the aforementioned WSJ), “stories” (iBooks), more than 60,000 apps (and counting), “students” and “teachers” (in which a teacher grades a history final on ancient Rome right on the iPad screen), “Hollywood” (showing an iPad camera slate app) and finally, “iconic” following a Vanity Fair piece on Marilyn Monroe.
The 30-second YouTube spot is embedded below, and with a new iPad just around the corner, is sure to be followed by others soon enough.
