If you thought Angry Birds showed any signs of slowing down, think again: Like the movies that inspired the spinoff, Angry Birds Star Wars will apparently not be confined to a single app, but rather a whole series instead.
Rovio announced that Angry Birds Star Wars II will hit the App Store on September 19th, 2013, and is celebrating with a teaser video embedded below.
Unlike the first Angry Birds Star Wars, which stuck close to the original trilogy of films (featuring the exploits of Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and Princess Leia), the sequel appears to follow the often-maligned prequels that show how young Jedi Anakin Skywalker eventually turned to the Dark Side and became Darth Vader.
The video teaser shows a new feature of Angry Birds Star Wars II called Telepods, which allows real-world action figure toys to become part of the action. Telepods will be sold nationwide everywhere toys are sold, likely much to the chagrin of parents everywhere.
Angry Birds Star Wars II hits the App Store on September 19th, but in the meantime, have a look at the teaser video embedded below!
