Apple is rightfully proud of their Retina Display technology first introduced in the iPhone 4 and now carried across to the iPod touch, and they’ve chosen their latest television commercial to tout the feature.
MacRumors is reporting that Apple released a new television commercial for the iPhone 4 late Tuesday, and this time it’s all about the device’s stunning Retina Display. The new spot is entitled “Every” and features a quick summary of how most every app can benefit from what the company calls “the highest resolution phone screen ever.”
The new ad kicks off by showing some pictures in the Photos app, the Disney movie Up in the iPod app, an e-book in iBooks and tweets in what appears to be the official Twitter app.
“This is the highest resolution phone screen ever,” the narration touts. “So, every freckle, every wrinkle, every letter, every word, every tweet, tune, battle, and memory looks more beautiful than ever before.”
MacRumors also notes that this is the first new iPhone 4 commercial since the original batch of four ads released in mid-July, which only trumpeted the new FaceTime feature of the device.
It is a nice ad, and I know it is an "iPhone" commercial. But... the retina display isn't *ONLY* available on the iPhone 4... it is also available on the iPod Touch 4 as well and it looks fantastic.
