Video: iPad Installed in Car Dashboard (We Want One!)

(Image courtesy of Engadget)If you could, would you install an iPad into your car’s dashboard? Some folks in California did it, and frankly we’d give up a big chunk of dashboard real estate to have one, too.
Engadget is reporting on the world’s first iPad automobile retrofit, which was installed in a Toyota Tacoma (of all things). The mod comes courtesy of SoundMan Car Audio in California, who took the time to document the process on YouTube, which you can see for yourself embedded below.
While the iPad is looking pretty sweet in the dash of that Toyota Tacoma, the SoundMan gang isn’t quite done yet -- they still have to wire it up to the Audison Bit One sound processor with McIntosh MMC406M six-channel amp so they can enjoy the iPad’s audible goodness as well as its visual charm.
Anyone else ready to rip out their car’s lousy dashboard and kick it iPad style?
