A lot of mockups of the so-called iPhone 6 have been making the rounds ever since the rumors started flying not long after the release of the iPhone 5s, and now (unless Apple is really pulling a fast one) we now have enough information for creative minds to make some impressive mockups. The latest one comes in the form of a video from Italy's Macitynet (via MacRumors), which shows how the rumors 4.7-inch iPhone will look compared to the iPhone 5s.
The most immediate changes are found in the edges, with sport an iPod touch-like curve instead of the flat edges of the iPhone 5 and 5s. Macitynet's mockup also shows a slightly thinner device, which is well in line with some of the stronger rumors that have been floating about. It even features the new location of the sleep/wake button seen in some of the "leaked" schematics.
If anything, it gives you a good idea of the size you can expect from a 4.7-inch iPhone. It's important to remember that a lot of the mockups we've seen have been based on a set of schematics that were published in Japan's MacFan magazine in March, and it's still not known if these are authentic or lavish fakes. So far, there hasn't been another iPhone prototype lost in a bar.
Apple is expected by many to announce a 4.7-inch iPhone at this year's WWDC, and a larger 5.5-inch version is presumed to debut either later this year or during the launch of the "iPhone 7." Most accounts and purported leaks say the new phone with boast an even stronger processor and a better camera, along with a focus on health apps built in iOS 8 to complement the similarly rumored "iWatch."
