Verizon is taking no prisoners with their second commercial for the iPhone 4 -- in addition to actually showing the handset this time, they’ve pulled out the big guns with the “Can you hear me now?” guy.
9to5Mac is reporting that Verizon Wireless has posted a second television commercial for the iPhone 4, which started preordering on Wednesday for existing customers (and subsequently sold out by the end of the day). Everyone else can get their hands on one starting February 10.
In the meantime, Verizon’s new commercial finally shows sexy shots of the iPhone 4 itself, closing with a cameo by their infamous “Can you hear me now?” actor, who picks up the device and speaks smugly into it: “Yes, I can hear you… now.”
There’s little doubt that the commercial is a clear shot across the bow at rival AT&T, who held the exclusive on the iPhone from its June, 2007 launch until this week. Check it out for yourself in the embedded YouTube video below!
