So we keep reading about how the iPad is going to change the way we read books and magazines, and maybe you don’t believe what you read. Well, how about seeing a glimpse of the future with your own eyes?
9to5Mac is reporting that the folks behind
Viv Mag have released a few demos showing how a future version of their interactive magazine might look on the iPad:
Photographer Alexx Henry, along with co-directors Cory Strassburger and Ming Hsiung have produced an amazing motion magazine cover and feature spread for Viv Mag, an all digital magazine. The interactive article uses video, sound and print in a remarkable way that really makes you think about the amazing possibilities available in this emerging world of “digital print.”Viv’s demo, an article on “Sex Fears,” features a stylish video modeled after the graphic novel and feature film
Sin City. Even the magazine’s cover is interactive! Click the links below to see for yourself, and even get a peek at how the spots were created with a behind-the-scenes featurette.
As cool as this all is, we can’t seriously see every magazine spending this kind of jack for each issue -- unless maybe Apple moves some serious quantities of iPad, and then… who knows?
