Wal-Mart Slices iPhone 4 Price To $147
One piece of news flew in under the radar with the WWDC keynote picking up most headlines. In case you've been holding out for a reason to pick up an iPhone 4, now might be as good of a time as any, as Wal-Mart has reduced the price of the 16GB model to $147 from $197!
One catch though. The offer is only good from now until June 30, and it does apply to both the black and white models.
You'll still need to sign up for service with either AT&T or Verizon, along with the usual two-year contract. Also, the offer is available only in "select stores," so you can't go after it online.
What might be the cause of the deep discount? Perhaps Apple will soon announce a similar price cut? It appears unlikely at the moment, according to CNET, who notes Apple has yet to change the price.
