All Googled out from the company's two-hour keynote extravaganza this morning? We can't blame you -- after all, we've never seen any Apple executives skydiving over Moscone West to show off future products! However, today's recap is guaranteed to be 80 percent Google-free -- and the 20 percent we do chat about might make App Store lovers a little green with envy. So let's skydive right into the news for this Wednesday, June 27, 2012.
Snapheal 2.0 Coming Next Month with New UI, Works Standalone or as Plug-In
The folks at MacPhun touched base with us today to let us know they're hard at work on Snapheal 2.0, a major new upgrade to their photo editing app which promises double the power and twice the magic. Arriving sometime in July, Snapheal 2.0 will now work as both a standalone Mac app as well as a plug-in inside of Photoshop, Aperture or Lightroom. A refreshed user interface also allows easy access to selection tools, one-click switching between erasing modes, fine tuning for each pixel and the new ability to adjust erasing precision with just a swipe. And that's not all: The company is teasing "more powers" coming next week as well…

T-Mobile CEO Suddenly Hangs Up on His Job
AllThingsD is reporting that T-Mobile USA CEO Philipp Humm has apparently resigned from his post. According to a leaked internal memo posted to Geekwire, Humm plans "to pursue a career outside of [T-Mobile parent company] Deutsche Telekom and to reunite with his family, who have stayed in Europe." The now former CEO jumped into the job back in November, 2010, where he led the magenta network into an AT&T acquisition offer that soon backfired. Although he was scheduled to remain as CEO through September, Deutsche Telekom CEO René Obermann explained in the memo that Humm already had one foot out the door: "The reason Philipp has vacated his position with such short notice is because of his new employer: Philipp informed me a few days ago that he will be joining a competitor of Deutsche Telekom," Obermann writes. No word on who the competitor is, but COO Jim Alling will take over as CEO while the parent company searches for a replacement.
Noise Industries Releases Split Animator, Video Scrapbook for Final Cut Pro X
FxFactory makers Noise Industries has released two more plug-ins this week. First up: Final Cut Pro X exclusive Tokyo Split Animator is a set of 19 templates that goes beyond static split-screen concepts by adding simple-to-use animation functionality for constructing original design layouts. Meanwhile, Nattress Video Scrapbook brings still photos to life as moving video scrapbooks, offering compatibility with Final Cut Pro 6, 7 or X, Motion 3, 4 or 5 and After Effects CS3 or higher (including CS6). Available for $49 each, the new plug-ins can be purchased directly from FxFactory, where users can download and install a trial version.
Google Play Store Introduces Remote Update, Uninstall for Apps
Now here's a feature we'd love to see Apple steal (er, "borrow"): TechCrunch is reporting that Google's Play Store has quietly introduced an option to update or uninstall Android apps right from the website -- even if your device is across the room, across town or halfway around the world. The magic is done from a new "My Android Apps" section of the website, where users can see at a glance what new updates await them and send them straight to an Android smartphone or tablet with just a click. Likewise, already installed apps can be removed just as easily by clicking a small trashcan icon next to "Installed" and confirming the purge.
En Route! Adds Facebook Integration
Real-time location sharing app En Route! received a nice update to version 1.3.1 today, allowing users to post directly to their Facebook Timeline. Tapping into Facebook's OpenGraph, the app can now post destinations, real-time location and estimated time of arrival information, which can also be shared to a feed or ticker. Facebook friends can now track your travel in real-time on the web or from any mobile device. “We are providing our users with a way to share and create stories about their activities as well as an easy way to update friends, family and colleagues about their imminent arrival,” explains Dave Smiddy, Founder and President of En Route!. The free app is available now from the App Store and requires a GPS-capable device running iOS 4.0 or later.
