I'd like the option of having the new "Reply With Message" and "Remind Me Later" features to be co-joined, so that I could do BOTH if I so chose to. Currently, you can only do one or the other.

every wish you guys asked for exist already with Apps in Cydia and as I know Apple takes ideas from Cydia all your wishes will come true aventually!

#1 = Spam filter for Mail

there is one built in already! if thats not complex enough then use Rules (it has some really awesome functions)

MacLife: please write an article showing all of the potential Rules in mail has. (im to lazy to)

There is absolutely NOT a built in spam filter for iOS. And there are NO rules for iOS Mail either. I think you are mixing this up with Mac OS?

Good list, but I will agree with Anthony1960 about the #1 priority. It should be smart enough to allow me to accept phone calls from a list, or to reject phone calls from a list. And to let me choose to either never see the calls or just have them in a Spam box.

A harder change would be for mail - to use the spam filter that I have on my Mac.

try Do Not Disturb you can block lists!

Stopping a message before it goes out. canceling. like sending "I hate you" but then not.

I REALLY want the ability to have reminders have a delay. Remind me 30 minutes after I leave work. Or 30 minutes after I get to work. Right now all I get is when I walk in the door. Hello, I'm not ready to do "whatever" the second I walk in.

I'd like Mobile Safari to be able to handle more than eight tabs, but perhaps that's wishful thinking.

avatar

They added that feature (at least to iPad) in iOS 6.

mine seems to be handling more then 8 tabs right now (however you only have access to 8 of them at a time...)

True incoming phone number blocking

I could be wrong but it is my understanding that that is a carrier feature (offered by AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint) that can't be incorporated (yet) on the hardware/software level on any current smartphone.

Location-based Settings Profiles is my #1. I don't want work email coming to my phone when I'm connected to my work WiFi. I'd also like to be able to schedule Do Not Disturb for weekdays only. I'm not trying to miss calls during late night ragers on Saturday.

Great article as always, Susie.

I wish they had a button on the keyboard that could be used to autofill your email address. Set it up in settings and then use a one touch button on the keyboard to insert your email address.

I wish we could delete apple apps like newsstand compass etc

That functionality already exists, set up a keyboard shortcut, for example when I type gmail it automatically inserts my full gmail email account.

1. 1-touch access to toggle WiFi, BlueTooth and other common settings.

2. Smart sorting - ability to arrange icons by "most used"

3. Better multitasking pane (one row of icons looked silly on iPhones with 3.5" screen; it's even worse on the iPhone 5's 4" screen.

4. Ability to toggle downloaded songs / iTunes Match songs in Music app without having to go into settings pane. (If you take the subway a lot, you'll know what a pain in the ass this is!)
