Windows Phone Using Mac Lovers Are Ready for Some Mango

Love your Mac but just can’t feel the emotional connection to the iPhone the way the rest of us can? Perhaps you’ve turned your back on BlackBerry, webOS and Android in favor of the Microsoft flavor, Windows Phone 7. With a new version of the Windows Phone 7 software (codenamed “Mango”) just around the corner, you’ll be happy to know your Mac is ready for it.
Pocket-lint is reporting that Microsoft has pushed out a new version 2.0 of their Windows Phone 7 Connector software, which can be found for absolutely free in the Mac App Store. While the 6.5MB update released Wednesday is mostly about squashing bugs in the software, the update also readies Mac users for the new Windows Phone 7.5 update flying onto devices soon, which is better known by its codename “Mango.”

• Resolved connectivity issues with certain devices
• Resolved album art display issues for certain devices

The Windows Phone 7 Connector update also includes Zune HD lovers in its loving embrace, and you’ll need Mac OS X 10.6 or later to install. Head to the Mac App Store now so you’ll be ready once the big Mango comes rolling into your life!
