Black Friday is finally here, and with it comes the hopes and dreams of retailers everywhere to turn a profit for the year. Apple Inc. doesn’t have to worry about that -- they’re already sitting on a mountain of cash -- but that doesn’t mean they can’t get into the spirit of the shopping season just the same.
Apple.com has posted details of their annual Black Friday one-day shopping event, reducing prices on a wide variety of products for one day only -- Friday, November 26 (hey, that’s today!).
On the Mac front, the company is slashing prices on iMacs, MacBook Pros and MacBook Airs by $101. You’ll also save a bit on accessories for your new Mac, including an Apple Wireless Keyboard, Magic Trackpad or Magic Mouse for $5 off.
If you’ve had your eye on an iPad, they get a price cut today only by $41, which almost puts them in line with the company’s refurbished model prices. iPad accessories are also part of the special, including the Apple iPad Case, iPad Camera Connection Kit, iPad Dock or iPad Keyboard Dock, each for $5 less than normal.
Today is also the day to get up to $41 off an iPod touch or up to $21 off an iPod nano, and the Apple In-Ear Headphones with Remote and Mic also get a $5 discount as part of the one-day event.
Finally, Apple is also discounting its networking products, with a Time Capsule 1TB for $21 less or a 2TB model for $51 off, or your choice of an AirPort Express Base Station or an AirPort Extreme Base Station, each for $11 off.

The deals don’t just end with Apple’s own products, either -- there are pretty nice discounts on iPad accessories, audio gear, Mac games, software and laptop cases, iPhone accessories, music and video tools, home office, iPod cases, headphones and digital cameras.
Heck, just about the only thing that isn’t on sale today at Apple.com is the iPhone, although notably absent from the deals are the MacBook, Mac mini and Mac Pro. None of the deals are truly spectacular -- in most cases, cheaper prices can be found at Apple resellers, for instance -- but if you’ve had your eye on something special and prefer to buy direct, today is your chance!
