WWDC: Apple Design Award 2011 Winners Revealed

Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco didn’t just close up shop and go away after Monday’s keynote -- it’s in full swing for the groovy guys and gals who create the third-party Mac and iOS software we know and love, and a few of them even got awarded for that work on Tuesday night.
TUAW is reporting that the Apple Design Award 2011 winners have been announced at a special event on Tuesday night at WWDC. While last year’s event was an iOS-only affair, this year the Mac is back in the picture and now there are 12 total winners in four different categories to report.
So what do the winners receive besides adulation from their peers and a likely spike in app sales? Apple generously rewards their efforts with a MacBook Air, iPad 2, iPod touch and yes, a “snazzy trophy,” according to TUAW.
