As you may have noticed, we've done some house cleaning here at MacLife.com. No longer are you looking at that old layout of yesterday--now you're staring into the layout of tomorrow! Actually, tomorrow is today, so technically you're staring into the layout of today. But no matter.
Along with the new site look, we also got a couple of new features to show off. First of all, those of who are heavily reliant on "the Facebook" will be pleased to know that we've added Facebook Connect to help you share your favorite articles with your friends. You can "like" any of your favorite posts and have them instantly show up in your feed. You can also leave us a comment with your Facebook account by clicking the "Login with Facebook" button at the top right-hand corner of the screen.
When you see this page, select "Allow" and you'll be able to add in your two-cents. You can still log in with your old Mac|Life account should you so choose. Or you can get really fancy and link the two accounts. It's all up to you!
We also have this nifty content hub hanging out there at the top of the page. Everyday, it'll change with the latest and greatest in features, reviews, and how-tos available on the site. It should make it easier for you guys to navigate around and find the most relevant stories.
When you hover over a topic hub (e.g.: iPhone, iPad, etc.), you'll also see the latest news surrounding that Mac-centric product or iOS device you're craving to know more about.
To your right, you might also notice that we've reserved space for the latest Mac|Life tweets as well, so do be sure to add us on Twitter.

As a graphic designer, I approve. The only thing I would change would be to try and get all the buttons at the top into the blue bar. Then it would look really sleek.

Enjoying the new site. The content is awesome as usual, and I like the black, modern look. Site also seems faster.
What with the new site and all, you really need an updated app. The app is one of the worst news apps I've seen. Needs a facelift. Sooner the better.
The website's great, keep up the good work!

Hey...the search is messed up. whenever i search something (EX: iPod touch) it says no items can be found and that I need something called "Apache Solr"

I'm not having that problem. Try listing your OS and browser and others will probably be able to help. You might just not be updated.

Not sure why everyone is whining. I really like the new design, it is much cleaner and it seems faster and less bloated with junk compared to the last one.

I agree with you. The design is sleeker, smoother, and easier to browse than before. Also seems faster. However, I am annoyed by the bar at the top that when whenever you mouse over it, it brings up a huge menu. Annoying when you are not using it.

Just cuz the forums are gone. Get used to it. There's going to be a lot of whining.
Personally, I think the new design sucks slightly less than the old one. It IS cleaner, I'll give ya that. The content still blows, tho. TIME for Kids.
And the captcha is the absolute worst implementation I've ever seen.

I love the new site except for the following:
- The top blue bar and text under it NEEDS to be bigger.
- I liked the thing in the old sites homepage were the top stories revolved. I think having all four of them showing at the same time makes it look to cramped and crowded.P.S. Why are you killing the podcast? It is the only tech podcast I actually liked listening to. Oh, well. Merry Christmas to me.

I completely agree with MacAddict4Life. Also, I don't mean to be rude but I really don't like the new design, there really wasn't anything wrong with the old one. This one's too busy.

There's a lot of stuff that wasn't on the old layout and it all looks sprawled out, so it looks rather busy.

@ukimalefu It doesn't matter how great your captcha is you're always going to get spam since a lot of spam is now human powered.

Hey maclife! LOVE the new layout! Cant wait to really get to check it out. (can't right now I'm just leaving for school.) but now I'm really excited to see what you'll do to refresh the iPhone app's layout. Here are some of the things I'd like to see: 1. Commenting in the app- it's a pain to convert to the browser just to add a comment. 2. Video support, it's not hard to insert YouTube videos into your app, right now whenever you guys post a vid, it dosnt show up. 3. A nice shiny, sexy, newerific, beautiful new look, just like the site. So I can wait for the next update and Ill check the app store frequently to see if your app has been updated. Thanks, you guys are great!

I understand you need ad revenue. That's fine. Redirect me through an ad page on the way to a story, no problem.
But I swear, every time I have to sit through an ad page to get to the HOMEPAGE, I consider deleting you from my bookmarks. Make it only happen when I'm loading pages other than the homepage! please!
