Podcast #16: No, We Won't Ignore the iPhone!

The iPhone is still the hot topic in the news and among Apple tech fans. In fact, that Blackfriars index of iPhone buzz has gotten up to around 25,000 news articles on the iPhone - pretty amazing. Rather than beat 'em, we decided to join 'em and spend some time talking about some of the latest iPhone-related developments, plus the newest rumor that new iMacs, iPods, and possibly even the new version of iLife will be announced in early August.

Here's what we're talking about this week:

> Do we really believe that new iMacs and iPods will be released on August 7?

> How close is the iPhone to being unlocked?

> A software glitch makes your iPhone's battery power meter a bit unreliable

> Cool and useful iPhone accessories and Web apps

> Awesome (and free!) podcasts on iTunes

> What's new on the MacLife.com and our ever-vibrant forums
