88 mph.
Those of us in high school in the ’80s remember that speed as the key to time travel for Marty McFly and his pal Doc Brown in the Back to the Future movie. Telltale Games decided to bring this favorite pop/sci-fi blend to the computer screen for the enjoyment of all ages with Back to the Future: The Game. And bless them, they hit that magic speed again.

“Don’t worry…it’s perfectly legal!”
You play Marty McFly traveling back in time to the 1930s to help Doc Brown, who’s gotten himself into trouble with the law -- and the lawless. In this standard point-and-click adventure game packed with quintessential Telltale quirkiness, Marty has to avoid disturbing the time continuum while solving the puzzles that will help Doc escape jail.
Some puzzles are fairly obvious, while others require waiting for things that aren’t intuitive. But most are just good fun. If you ever run into problems, though, you can avail yourself of the traditional Telltale hint system. Characters will drop verbal hints at the rate you set within the options. Or use the hints in each location, which you access by clicking the Hint button.

"When this baby hits 88 miles per hour, you're going to see some serious sh**!"
Sometimes you feel like you’re playing a movie when you play the game. Cel-shaded screens of characters and locations weren't the only animations that Telltale concentrated on when they tried to bring this favorite to life -- from Marty’s characteristic hand-to-neck gesture to an homage to manure, each detail in the game has been slaved over.
The voice acting is particularly superb, featuring the almost-duplicative voice of A.J. LoCascio as Marty McFly, and James Arnold Taylor sounds exactly like you’d think a young Emmett Brown might. And, of course, Christopher Lloyd takes the role of Doc Brown himself.
The bottom line. The puzzles might seem too easy at times, and the content a little light, but the characters, story, and voice acting make up for it all.
