Best Case Scenario: Griffin Passport for iPad

Griffin's Passport for iPad Foilo turns your iPad into a classy affair. The Folio opens up like a book to reveal the iPad hidden underneath, which is strapped in by four elastic bands securing each corner. Inside is lined by microsuede, which feels soft to touch and keeps the iPad screen smudge free. Another strap on the Passport's backside keeps the Folio sealed together.
Though it's a stylish case, it does forfeit fashion for function. The Passport doesn't have any Smart magnets in it, so you'll have to remember to shut off the iPad screen before you close it, and those corner straps make it difficult to access the volume and lock buttons; you'll have to unstrap the iPad to get to them at all. Additionally, there's no easy way to stand up the iPad to watch movies or type away, which made it incredibly difficult to multitask.
The bottom line. The Griffin Passport for iPad folio is affordable and stylish, but if you can afford to shell out a few extra bucks, you could invest in a case that's functionable, too.
