Bag Your 'Book
If the census happened today, how many laptops reside in your household? As many as one for every member of your family? And for every ‘Book, a bag of its own…
Booq’s Boa is a briefcase-style bag with a shoulder strap and the most comfortable handle we’ve grasped. The handle is soft and neoprene-covered, and you could seriously carry it all day—nice pad on the shoulder strap too. The laptop pocket is well padded and holds a MacBook Pro (you’ll need the large Boa for the 17-incher) or any other Mac laptop. The separate, roomy interior space has two large zippered pockets, two open file-sized pockets, three drop-in mesh pockets, and three accessory pockets with magnetic closures. Outside you’ll find four more zippered pockets (one with a pass-through for your headphone cable) and another zippered organizer pocket for all your little extras.
The Boa seems very well-made, with high-quality zippers, an incredibly firm and tough bottom, and even a metal plate with the serial number, in case someone finds your lost bag and contacts Boa through Terralinq.com. We especially appreciated its bright red interior, loads of pockets, and healthy size—this would make a great carry-on. The only drawback is its weight, at 4 pounds, 13 ounces for the medium bag (which measures 17 by 12.5 by 7.5 inches), but even that’s not bad.
Everyone’s perfect laptop case is a little different, but if you’re after roomy toughness, check out this no-nonsense business traveler bag.
