Clibe Review

Clibe is an interesting note-taking app, as it strives to combine this basic concept with social media, by letting you share your notebooks with anyone on the web. Since your notebooks are saved online whether they’re public or private, you’ll need to register with Clibe before you can get started, but the process is very quick and handled from within the app itself. Once done, you can create as many notebooks as you need, each with as many pages as desired. You’ll then be able to access them via your iPad or Clibe’s website. By default, your books are private, but you can also choose to make them available to all or just a select few folks.
You can add, resize, reposition, and rotate images (taken either from your camera roll or Facebook, Instagram, Dropbox, and Evernote accounts), as well as draw or write using the pen, paintbrush or highlighter tools - each one offering a choice of color and thickness. If you’d rather not write with your finger or stylus, you can also insert text boxes anywhere on your pages, and for a little extra panache, a few background textures are available to apply to your pages. Many are free, though some packs require an in-app purchase to access.
There are regretfully a few downsides, though. Clibe only works in portrait view, and you can’t see two pages side-by-side if you hold your iPad in landscape orientation. More irritating is the fact that you only have one level of undo, with no redo option. Also, Clibe doesn’t seem to remember which packs you added, so you'll have to keep downloading them (thankfully, you won’t be charged again).
The bottom line. Clibe is a very versatile note taking app with clever sharing options, but it’s let down by some basic missing features along with a few annoying bugs.
