No pockets in your running shorts? That doesn’t mean you have to pound the turf or treadmill in silence. The Music Band-It keeps your music streaming while you run, walk, or hike. The armband, which comes in versions to fit the iPhone and a variety of iPods, features built-in earbuds with a retractable cord that make listening to music while you work out hassle-free. The patented retractable 4-foot-long cord gives you only as much length as you need and is kept neatly organized when not in use.
The enclosure for the iPhone or iPod itself has a clear panel that protects your device from scratches while allowing full use of the controls. The snug fit makes loading your device in and out a bit awkward, although the up-side to this is a secure home for your iPod while you’re on the go. The armband weighs a mere 2.5 ounces, making the Music Band-It barely noticeable when it’s on your arm.
For those who find the 1.5cm earbuds uncomfortably large, the Music Band-It comes with attachable silicone in-ear adapters. Fitting the adapters onto the earbuds proved frustratingly difficult, however, as we managed to tear one while trying to attach it. Thankfully, the earbuds produce good sound, especially when used with the in-ear adapters.
