Nag Alarm Review

Quick startup. Quick setup. Quick everything.
Dang! You needed to be somewhere -- 15 minutes ago! You need reminders on your iPhone, but you don't want some app chock full of complicated commands. That's more trouble than it's worth. Pop Culture Software's Nag Alarm succeeds with simplicity.
The app pops open faster than any calendar, then you tap the Plus sign in the corner. Here's the Add Alarm screen, with six fields to fill. Give your alarm a name or use a preformatted title like "Check," "Call," "Buy," and so forth. Set your time and date and choose from four (loud) alarm sounds. That's it.

Ready-to-go presets are super convenient.
Nag Alarm hooks into your Calendar app plus any other synced calendars. That's a lovely redundancy. Another nice feature is repeating alarms that go off every day up to every 10 days, then the same for weeks, months, and years. Not that we'd be setting alarms a decade in advance, but as an anniversary reminder it's pretty helpful. We also loved the snooze feature, which lets you snooze for 5 minutes, 15, 30, or one full hour.
The only real drawback is Nag Alarm gives you a pop up, then you get one from Calendars and from any other app you've synced to. Apple's rumored to be updating their notification system, so we'd like to see how this plays out down the road. Until then, you may be in for some double or triple tapping.
The bottom line. Nag Alarm does what you need it to do, gives you just enough flexibility, then nags you until you make good. What more could we ask for?
Company
Pop Culture Software
Requirements
iPhone or iPod touch running iOS 4.2 or later
Positives
Setup is the easiest we've seen. Stripped-down interface means quick loading. Snooze is an option we want everywhere.
Negatives
Deleting a repeating event is trickier than it should be.
