Satechi iFit-1 Speaker Review

We just gave a glowing review to Bluelounge's Milo stand, an elegantly curved stand for an iPhone or iPod touch. Satechi's brightly colored iFit-1 speaker isn't quite as elegant, but it's only $1 more -- and it's a stand as well as a rechargeable speaker.

This 4.5-by-3.5-by-2.5-inch speaker, which only weighs 1.6 ounces, is highly portable. And the sound won't rattle the fillings in your teeth -- it's a little tinny and gets very distorted when you try to turn it up all the way -- but it's actually not too shabby for a speaker at this price point. Better than you might expect, anyway.

The bottom line. This would be good for little kids who want to rock out to Katy Perry, or as an extra little speaker for next to the kitchen sink or some other dreaded-chore location.

iPhone, iPod, or any device with a headphone jack

Very small and light. Lasts about 6 hours on a charge. Built-in stand.

Small speakers mean small sound, but this might still surprise you.
