Rumor: New iPhone Spy Pics Surface
It took longer than expected, but an image of the alleged new iPhone has surfaced.
If the image and super-secret source are to be believed, the next iPhone will sport a glossy black finish on the back. This would replace the current satin metallic finish.
We tried sending the image to the FBI high-tech imaging lab. You know, like the ones on TV, so they could clean up an image to get a better view of the items in the iPhone's reflection. They won't return our calls.

Maybe this is the iPhone Nano that was rumored about last year. Remember those photos of the new iPod designs that were boxy and looked unattractive, but were really a different size? In this case, the iPhone looks just slightly bigger than the trackpad in the picture. So it could possibly be a real iPhone that will be released in conjunction with the 16 and 32 GB models. Apple could just be inadvertently sending us another clue again like they did with those iPods.

Sorry man, I just put my iPhone on my trackpad, that's the size of the current iPhone on a MBP trackpad. That's not smaller than the current one.

Can anyone picture apple selling an 8GB iPhone for $100 to $150 less than they do now? I can picture that.

If the so-called 2.0 is only going to have 8gigs...I'll wait for 3.0. Although, maybe they'll go way of the Mac Air and give you no memory at all and force you to remotely access your storage via the new 3G. Hey, maybe on I'm to something. If you can use .Mac I suppose you could use the Back To Your Mac feature, right?

I didn't know Apple decided to go into the toy-making department! Apart from the obvious thought - that Apple usually doesn't release this kind of info, especially to one outlet - the fact that it looks cheaper than the toilet paper in an old gas station after it's been used doesn't help. Or maybe it's just a bad photo...

isn't the rounded shape on the back a little bit different?
or not??? if it was exactly the same shape i would say it was a fake too...

Hey, guys this is a fake which is why the front is not being shown. The only facts I can say is that the minimum capacity for iPhone 2.0 is going to be 32GB. The finish which you see on the back here has been made by the same people who sell unofficial iPhone covers on ebay.

This looks much like an iPhone that has had the Colorware paint job done. Someone sends their iPhone in, picks black as their color option and ta-da the forthcoming iPhone. This is an 8GB model which I believe may go the way of the 4GB upon the next release. 16 and 32GB models will be the standard with any new releases.

Fake of course, there's no way that a new iPhone is gonna have 8GB.
