I appreiate your efforts R + R, by doing this cast but seriously: For Mac life web site, you guys aren't funny, too slow, and unstimulating. The editing and sound overall is dreadful and could be mastered better by a 14 year old with iLife. Sorry, points subtracted for being majorly sucky.
This is 08' now! C'mon

Maybe spotlight is being added because the iPhone is going to be allowed to be put into disc use. So you can search all of your files...

Without an optical drive, how are we going to load software? Maybe it will ship with a USB optical drive that you only attach to load software and then detach it when you take the little guy on the road. And maybe it will have a 1.8 inch hard drive for storage of big stuff and applications, but keep most stuff that you use alot like the system in the flash drive so that the hard drive doesn't have to spin a lot which 1.8 inch drives don't like to do. A big flash drive would make a subnotebook really expensive.

I like the show, but why does a show about Apple show Sony/Windows Vista commercials?

I was thinking the same thing! But I'm guessing (hoping) that it is an add from the website that hosted the video (brightcove.com) and not something that maclife chose to do. Or maybe its a joke....

I thought it might be a joke as well until I looked again at my December copy of Mac|Life, and within the first couple of pages is an ad for a Sony Vaio and Vista. While I'm all for wasting the advertising budget to the benefit of a publication whose target audience wouldn't even consider buying the product, it really doesn't make a whole lot of sense for it to be so profuse. To be multiple times on the website and in the magazine...I certainly don't get it.
