The folks at Freeverse last Friday released Sim Stapler Arena, the game that "brings all of the thrill and excitement of a “real” stapler right to your computer screen!" You can download it for free at Freeverse's MacFun site.

This game is easy to play. Just click on the stapler. That's it. You can click on it once or a thousand times - it's up to you. For an example of the neverending action, watch the video below. (OK, we lied when we said neverending. We stopped after 250 clicks.)

Sim Stapler Arena records the high scores, and here's were you can help us. You can help send Mac|Life to the top of the leaderboard. When you register the game, use the following information:

Username: maclife
Password: maclife
Email: plugs@maclife.com

You can change this info in the game in the Sim Stapler Arena preferences.

The game keeps a cummulative high score, so your clicks can add to Mac|Life's tally. Soon, we'll be on top, thanks to you!

Copy the files to your drive somewhere, then use this AppleScript, substituting the coordinates with the ones where the stapler is on your screen (from the left, from the top).
