Think Secret Shutters Site
A posting on Think Secret, announces that the site will no longer be published. As part of a settlement with Apple, Think Secret publisher Nick Ciarelli, AKA Nick DePlume, was able to keep his sources secret in the long standing legal battle over leaking Apple products and it seems, that in return, he will close down the site.
The site states:
"Apple and Think Secret have settled their lawsuit, reaching an agreement that results in a positive solution for both sides. As part of the confidential settlement, no sources were revealed and Think Secret will no longer be published. Nick Ciarelli, Think Secret's publisher, said 'I'm pleased to have reached this amicable settlement, and will now be able to move forward with my college studies and broader journalistic pursuits.'"
We'll miss you Think Secret.

You know, if someone **actively solicited** others to break NDAs and steal IP from my company, I would have gone Jobs on them too. No sympathy from me.
Plus, I'd be surprised if the settlement included any payments from Apple to Nick. (IANAL) Apple could have easily dragged out any lawsuit, so paying Nick's court costs would have been crazy. Then, on top of that, it's a fact that NDA-secret material was published. The major question was who was going to take the fall for it (Nick or the actual source). Nick wisely got out while he still could. Good luck with that whole journalistic integrity thingy.

After years of "Yes! No? Maybe...", it's now finally official:
Steve Jobs is an asshole.

Sounds like Nick is laughing all the way to the bank in this 'settlement'. I wish Steve would pay me to go away.
