MultiClutch lets you assign any keyboard shortcut in any app to a Multi-Touch gesture on your trackpad.
I just bought a new unibody MacBook Pro, and I love the Multi-Touch features of the trackpad, such as rotate, zoom, and swipe. However, I’ve noticed that these gestures only work in certain applications, such as iPhoto.
Out of the box, many of the Multi-Touch gestures of your new trackpad will only work with a limited number of applications. Wouldn’t it be great if you could assign those gestures to any keyboard shortcut in any app that you use? MultiClutch (donations requested, www.wcrawford.org/projects) lets you unleash the full potential of the Multi-Touch trackpad of the MacBook Air and the new MacBooks and MacBook Pros.
Imagine changing tabs in Safari or going back a page in Opera with a three-finger swipe to the left. Or launching the spell checker of Mail or Microsoft Word with a three-finger swipe to the right. Or raising the volume of iTunes with a two-finger rotate to the right. Or zooming in on your photos in older versions of Photoshop with an outward pinch of your fingers. You get the idea. You’re going to love MultiClutch.
