There are three types of keyboards: dome membrane, scissor switch, and mechanical switch. They each have their pros and cons. Susie walks us through them all and demos the differences between these three keyboards:

That Moshi Celesta keyboard is sexy, buy why why why would anyone design a keyboard with USB ports on the right hand side? HELLO!!! That puts cables sticking out precisely where a user's hand will be mousing around. Bump, tangle, bump. It makes no sense. Also, that Moshi website is worse than awful.
Good info on the Maclife podcast though. I'm kind of surprised you didn't wait another week to see if that supposed new Mac keyboard turns out to be legit. It looks like it might be sweet!
