A great test would be using old movies to see how it will handle the black and white. You always need great detail to discern shapes compared to full-color movies.

Hello Mac|Life staff. I'm the reader that sent in the letter which you replied to "Out of Luck" in the October '09 issue. I have decided to buy a new camera. I was going to go with the Flip Ultra, when Apple amazed me again. A camera on the Nano. This innovation by Apple led to a lot of conflict. Listen to my inner Mac Geek, or the inner film-maker. You tested the Nano against the Mino, and I preferred the Nano because it had better color. What would you say, Nano or Flip Ultra? I am running out of memory on my 4GB 3rd Gen Nano, so a new Nano would help me with that as well. But I also want to make the best movies possible. Please respond to this comment and give me your professional opinion. Thanks
-The Mactivist (iSean)

Shouldn't the salsa test involves the Nano taking a dip in the salsa?
Seems like fingers-in-the-shot is a big issue.

I just plugged in an external microphone and recorded video on my new iPod Nano with even better audio, it that was possible. Now, I am trying to come up with a tripod!

You said (and I know this to be true, I heard it three times) "And finally the iPhone, flip mino, and iPhone 3GS test!". Read that really close, nice Robbie. I have a friend named Robert. but some people call him Bobert Bello, he has my same birthday, but I'm 3 whole hours older than him

Ok back on topic here. I was on the fence about upgrading my "short wide" Nano to this new version but I think after seeing the video, and on other sites that said it was horrid, I will definitely upgrade.

Cyborg mode was COMPLETELY unexpected as well as security mode.
