VW Space Up! Looks Eerily Familiar

In August VW chief Martin Winterkorn and Steve Jobs met to discuss the building of an iCar.

 

Just revealed at the LA Auto Show is VW's third version of Space Up! in-car interface. Is this a prototype of what's to come from the two companies?

If the person on the left in the video is also doing the driving, this thing should be called Heads Up!. I can see increased traffic accidents caused by driving without due care and attention.

First: Why does the Phone look more like a Blackberry Pearl instead of an iPhone?
Second: Why does the car look more like a SmartCar that a VW?

Has anyone made an iCar shuffle joke yet? You know, you press the ignition button, and it takes you to a random place? Huh? Huh? Come on people, this is gold!
