Comment Contest: Things -- Get it Together Man
Posted 07/24/2009 at 3:54:54pm | by Roberto Baldwin

things

See that big pile of stickies and cocktail napkins on your desk. Yeah, you need to get that sorted out. Sure you could separate them into different piles. The pile you can read and the pile with undecipherable gibberish. Instead of trying to figure out if your supposed to pay the phone bill or take Bill to Phoenix, why not let Things task management software help you sort out your busy life.

Lucky for you, and your crazy pile of stuff, we're giving away a copy of Things from Cultured Code. All you have to do is post a comment in this article to win your very own copy of Things. That's it! The comment can be as long or as short as you like – one word will do!

Our Mac|Life super comment choosing machine will choose a random comment and award one lucky person Things, with a retail value of  $49.95. The odds of winning are determined by the number of eligible entries received. The prize is nontransferable and must be accepted as awarded.

Here are the rules:

- You can only enter once. Commenting more than once will automatically disqualify you from the contest.

- The contest is limited to legal residents of the United States(excluding residents of Puerto Rico). Void where prohibited by law. Entrants must be at least 13 years of age.

- The contest will end at 11:59p.m. PST on July 28, 2009.

- Check out the full official rules below.

So cross your fingers and start your comments.

Things Comment Contest rules: NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. A PURCHASE WILL NOT IMPROVE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. The sponsor of the contest is Future US, Inc., 4000 Shoreline Court,Suite 400, South San Francisco, CA 94080 (“Sponsor”). All entries must be received no later than July 28,, 2009 at 11:59 p.m. PST. Winner will be determined by a single random drawing of all valid entries held on or about July 30, 2009. The decision of Sponsor shall be final and binding and within its sole discretion. Winners will be notified by phone or email within ten (10) days of the drawing.

Only one entry per person is allowed, multiple entries will lead to disqualification. The winner will be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility/release of liability/prize acceptance within seven days of receipt; failure to do so upon request will result in forfeiture of the prize. By acceptance of the prize, the winner agrees to the use of their name and/or likeness for purposes of advertising, trade, or promotion without further compensation, unless prohibited by law. Walk around the room with a glaze in your stare.
In your tuxedo suit.
I will give it a name.
Lower your defenses.
Lower your casket.
Open the door and open your grave.
Murder.
Now you're doing the waltz with your murderer.
Mediocrity is the killer.
You find yourself helpless.
Christ is not a fashion, fleeting away.
He laid emeralds in her eyes,
But Id already tied a bracelet made of gold
And a scarlet thread around her wrist.
Everything was wrong so we sang sentimental songs.
Oh how seldom we belong but how elegant our kiss.
We painted crooked lines
But danced in perfect time to a love so much refined,
We know not what it is until like a dullen wine we pour into a grief know before
But never quite like this.
All I know now is regret,
It follows like a silhouette along the cobblestone behind us,
But has nothing to say except to innocently ask,
Its voice delicate as glass,
Do you see me when we pass?
But I continue on my way.

avatarGood but need fewer constraints

I've been searching for a solution to manage actions etc. Things is very close but I had troubles with some of the GTD-specific constraints. I'll take a look at this latest version.
