When my wife's away, I like to wake to a custom ringtone recording of her saying, "Sweetie, pick up the phone."

I love waking up to a siren going off. Especially when it's a real fire alarm siren...

To my iPhone alarm!

Not quite sure I have ever, really woken up yet... but a fancy gadget like this might help me overcome my ADD and drag my butt out of bed... at least until I lose interest in it. I sleep with my iPhone anyway, so what the heck!

avatar

bomob

Ooo, I'ld like a new alarm clock i'am tierd of my old one.

avatar

macphreak

I enjoy waking up to alarm clocks that I've won! :)

Ahh, the poor confused alarm clock, we are upset when it goes off and more upset when it doesn't go off. Lately I've been using an iPad alarm as I'm less likely to hit it to shut it up.

As long as wake up time is 8:30 a.m. or later any which way I wake up is groovy with me!

avatar

I need to take a hot shower to wake up in the morning. This is my cup of coffee...

Favorite way to wake up is naturally but if I have to wake up it might as well be to my iPhone or ipad 2.

avatar

pei_rocks

It usually takes two alarms set 30 minutes apart to wake me up in the morning.

Waking up in first-class to the smell of fresh-baked cookies

I usually wake up by the sun.... This will bring sunshine to my day. :-)

I usually wake up wondering if I'm actually awake or still dreaming. I don't like the classic alarm clock sound so I use my iPhone instead :)

I work in EMS so at work I get woken up in the most rude and adrenaline inducing way. With loud radio tones and demands for fast response. I go from deep slumber, to simi alert and trying to dress and answer the radio at the same time within 10 seconds. So, when I'm at home, I like to be woken up gently, quietly, slowly. I have multiple levels of alarms, first one starts out with "Harp" sound. This is to gently bring me out of my deep sleep. Next is "Timba," then "Marimba." Then it gets more aggressive, with "Bell Tower" and "Doorbell." The last is the one I find very irritating and I know I can not sleep through, "Ascending." I HATE that one so I know I will get up before I have to hear that just so I won't be irritated. Usually I'm up before "Bell Tower or Doorbell, because I know "Ascending" is coming up. It's a system. I will never go back to a regular alarm clock again, I really love the gentle approach. If only I could get dispatch to go along.

My six year old daughter is a morning person. She wakes up happy and starts her day on her only morning setting "full tilt." She has taken to waking me up in a variety of ways. This week I've been jarred to consciousness with a selection of noisy toys (placed near my pillow and then activated). Monday was a vacuum cleaner, Tuesday was a bicycle bell, and Wednesday was a toy morracca. Every wake-up visit included her uncontrollable laughter, a hug, and a "WAKEY WAKEY EGGS AND BAKEY!"

Waking up is hard to do.

Right now, I wake to the sound of a bleeping alarm clock (and I am not cursing)!

Save me from my nightmare and let me dream of a better day.

avatar

Right now I wake up to my old alarm clock lamely playing a radio station while I was dreaming about waking up to this new alarm clock. :)

avatar

Quite honestly, I just woke up to find Newsstand with the latest issue of Mac|Life. There might just be no better way to wake up.

avatar

5 minutes before alarm going off my 10 month old golden retriever giving morning kisses! :0

My mom walks into my room, flips on the lights and walks away. This is practically the worst way to be woken up. It burns the eyes. xD It would be better to be woken up by some Lady GaGa or Bruno Mars. Good luck everyone. :D

Lately the baby wakes me up with enough time to get to work, but I like to wake to Metal music.

I love mornings. I wake up to the sound of my pet Rooster; not in the house but out in it's coop. Then I check any updates; weather, news, email, etc. on my iTouch.

Aloha, I wake up to the alarm of my iPhone 4 and hit the snooze bar several times. Starting Saturday I hope to be waking up to my new iPhone 4s alarm after waiting in line at the AT&T Store in town! Sadly we don't have an Apple Store on our island, but the good news is that there should be enough phones and the wait should be minimal.

Mahalo for the chance to win an alarm clock worthy of my new iPhone that I can also use with my iPad!

Rest in peace Steve Jobs! I will remember my new phone as the iPhone 4s (Steve)!

When the cat, who leaves my girlfriend alone, just nudges me and doesn't bite.

My 5 year old is an early riser. She usually wakes me up yelling "Daddy, I want to eat!" Very pleasant at 5:15am. I'd prefer to wake up by this cool device.

avatar

armbon

My favorite way to wake up every morning is by hearing my girlfriend wake up an hour earlier than me and trying to be discreet while doing so. The harder she tries to get up and get prepared for work in silence, the louder she gets. It always makes me laugh because she is really trying her best and it never works.

avatar

zeketorres

Ok so I have to face it. I am NOT a morning person so if I need to wake up early for a special and specific reason I setup a few alarms. The iPhone alarm, iHome app alarm and TuneIn Radio app alarm. Start with some slow music on the iHome app. Then setup the TuneIn Radio with news 5 minutes after the first alarm and finally have the annoying LOUD alarm sound from the iPhone alarm. That does the job (most of the time).

I like to wake up listening to the waves crashing on the shoreline after camping on the beach

avatar

I wake up at exactly 5:45 a.m. I use an iPod on a docking station. The tricky part is to make sure I don't hear more than 2 bars of music. I can never get the song out of my head for the rest of the day, and it's tough having to sing 'Baby Beluga' over and over again.

avatar

MacNeal

No question, I will put on Baroque Hoedown and wake up smiling.

avatar

macpeople1

Just waking up is way cool but music to accompany my daily resurrection would be nice too.

avatar

Who wants to wake up! But when I have to, I want to do it to my favorite choice of the day from my iTunes library.Bach's Toccata & Fugue in D minor is usually at the top of my list. If I had a real late night I revert to Lady Gaga!

avatar

Clementoe

The best way to wake up is when there is no alarms and I just normally wake up because I'm well rested!

avatar

jcollineal

I have used nothing but my iphone to wake up by....does a great job. Music comes on after I'm awake.

avatar

schoenal

Some good old 80's music.

avatar

justir7

Rise and shine, it's wake-up time!
The fine alarm makes its chime!
"Eggs in bed!" I pled!
I've sworn eggs in bed,
would make my morning!

A TimeCommand would be quite grand,
A TimeCommand should be in my hand!

avatar

paul1998

With music because I just have to get out of bed and dance

avatar

cmgarza24

I like to wake up with my eyes open --- and alive.

avatar

I love waking up without an alarm clock, feeling refreshed. Sadly, this doesn't happen much.

avatar

WinAtMaclife

Is there any other way to wake up than to music?

avatar

Jae-P
