The Glif+ from Studio Neat is a deluxe trifecta of contraptions that keep your iPhone securely mounted to a tripod. You can use the kit with a Joby Gorilla Pod or a regular tripod meant for your DSLR, or you can turn the Glif+ into its own little tripod.
Our videographer (see also: visonary) Michael DeLano took a GoPro through the convention halls and shortened it down to two minutes to give you a fully immersive walkthrough of the Macworld/iWorld show floor. Check out and be sure to pay attention to the slow downs--you might see some people you know.
It's our favorite time of year at Mac|Life HQ. Not only does Flo do her best to fatten us all up with her baking experiments (Team Pie!), but we also get to take a short break from doing things like benchmarking hardware and testing accounting software to play with toys. And really, who doesn't like toys? And this time around, we've got things that shoot*, and things that fly. Both make for very happy holidays around the office.
And speaking of happy holidays, you can enter for a chance to win the Griffin HELO TC iPhone-controlled helicopter shown in the video right here.
Always wondered if those virtual keyboards really work as advertised? On this week's Mac|Life Show, we pitted the Cellulon Magic Cube against the Logitech Solar-powered Keyboard to see if those laser keyboards are really all that they're cracked up to be.
Life's full of problems, so don't let your cords become an issue. This week's Mac|Life Show is all about getting those cords properly wrapped up so they're not impeding on all sorts of other areas in your life--like, uh, that other stuff in your bag.
With the iPhone 4S selling faster than hotcakes at a Miami bakery, it's obviously appealing to people on a massive scale. We decided it was high-time to get our hands on the thing and put it through its paces. But which new feature was our absolute favorite? Watch the video to find out (SPOILER: It was Siri).
Last week, you may remember we asked you to ask us a bunch of questions. Well, here's why! We filmed a question and answer session with Executive Editor Susie Ochs, Reviews Editor Ray Aguilera and Associate Editor Nic Vargus for your enjoyment.
Take a gander, watch the video, and let us know what you think. Would you like to see more question and answer forums with the editors? Would you prefer these videos to be longer? Shorter? Seriously, leave us a comment and let us know.
In this week's Mac|Life Show, we show off the iPad Butler, a fantastic, alumnium stand that props up your tablet for those moments you need to keep your hand free and eyes on the crowd. Also, Associate Editor Nic Vargus sings and plays guitar.
You may notice that this week, we're going with a different kind of approach to The Mac|Life Show. We're ditching the weekly news show and replacing it instead with product reviews and on-camera how-tos. Feel free to leave a comment with your suggestions about what you'd like to see us cover. And now, on with the show.
On this week's Mac|Life Show, I play around with two supposedly waterproof iPhone cases from Lifeproof and Pelican. Watch the video to find out if we had to take the iPhone 4 to the Genius Bar (aka, the Apple Hospital).
