Barely a day after The New York Times published a piece on Palo Alto Networks' discovery of "WireLurker," a new malware threat in China that infects both Macs and iOS devices through USB transmission, Apple has already taken steps to neutralize the damage. In a statement to The Wall Street Journal, the Cupertino company noted that the harmful software was "available from a download site aimed at users in China," and now it's preventing affected users from even opening the harmful apps on their Macs.
