While there was a collective nerd groan after Apple's 09/09/09 "It's
Only Rock and Roll, But We Like It" failed to announce the mythical
tablet, old rumors and dreams die hard. Of course we never expected the
coming and going of any single date without a tablet to act as a rumor
killer. Which means that we can begin looking beyond the holiday
shopping season and on to 2010.
While it's only two years too late, AT&T has decided that for a
select few users they would add MMS functionality two weeks early.
While the official date is set for September 25th, it's possible the
carrier might attempt a slow-roll-out of the new service just to let
steam off ahead of the launch.
The latest update to iTunes is such a drastic change that many users
are scratching their heads trying to figure out where everything is and
how to work it.
Sure, if you just want to hit Play, you're good
to go, but if you're looking for the alleged ringtones Steve was
talking about, or how to share your music via Twitter and Facebook,
it's not that cut and dry.
