Before you ask, no, we're not entirely certain why Sonic needs to drive a car in this upcoming racing game. We weren't sure when this title was released last year on consoles either. Our guess: it would look weird if he was running next to the cars of his opponents in a kart-racing game. There's one thing we are sure about: we're pretty excited about this game getting its release on iOS platforms.
Ordinarily, when a developer finds success with a particular game, their follow up project generally follows in a similar genre. Kairosoft's announcement of Hot Springs Story is a perfect example. However, Firemint seems to have no qualms about continually reinventing themselves. Their new game is titled Agent Squeek and stars an adorable secret agent mouse.
He’ll always be “Sir Steve” to us! According to a report made public only this week, Apple CEO Steve Jobs was up for honorary knighthood by the British government a couple of years ago, only to be roundly rejected by none other than the Prime Minister himself.
There's never a shortage of speculation surrounding an Apple product launch or update. The release of iOS 4.3 is no exception. Since iOS 4.2.1 became available for download, the Internet has kept itself busy trading in rumors, scrutinizing build notes, and picking apart the code of iOS 4.3 test builds in the hope that doing so might reveal what was next for Apple's trusty mobile operating system. Most likely, all will be revealed at this week's Apple Event. But do you really want to wait that long to find out what Cupertino has in store for us? Of course not. To that end, we've put together a list of what we know so far about the next iteration of iOS. The short version? It's gonna be awesome.
Being able to record HD video with an iPhone or iPod touch is quite amazing, but each minute takes up an average of 80MB, so it won’t take long to fill your device’s storage capacity. Since it’s far from realistic to record everything you see, you’ll hope to press the button just before something amazing happens… but more often than not, by the time you hit Record, the moment will be lost.
SuperBrothers Sword and Sorcery EP is nothing if not unique. There's practically nothing about this game that seems cribbed from other releases, and the new trailer they've released is no different. Presented in an almost Twilight-Zone-esque way, the trailer aims for "audience calibration" to prepare us for the game's impending release.
Game Dev Story was one of our favorite little-known titles from all of last year. It's wonderful blend of quirky humor and addictive gameplay grabbed us and didn't let go for days. Now, the game's developer, Kairosoft, has released a follow up to Game Dev Story titled Hot Springs Story.
By this time next week, this space will be taken over with iPad 2 news and reviews, but we've got rumors, oh yes, we've got rumors. Plus, a whole bunch of other cool stuff in the mix. Are you excited for Thunderbolt? Just the idea of that kind of speed makes us want to upgrade. How about you?
Dang! You needed to be somewhere -- 15 minutes ago! You need reminders on your iPhone, but you don't want some app chock full of complicated commands. That's more trouble than it's worth. Pop Culture Software's Nag Alarm succeeds with simplicity.
