Cobbling together a wild assortment of makeshift mechanical whirligigs to ferry naughty swine to their destination is the task in Bad Piggies HD, which delivers a refreshing spin on the Angry Birds series and its iconic adversaries. Piggies packs the same immense charm and addictive pull of its predecessors, but it also takes the physics heavy puzzle play in a completely new direction.

How Much Data Do 720p FaceTime Chats Burn?

Not only does the iPhone 5 bump the front camera into high-definition territory with the ability to take and transmit 720p video footage -- as well as much clearer still photos -- but iOS 6 also now allows for FaceTime conversations over cellular networks. Better video, sending over a cellular network -- anyone else nervous about their data plan? We put it to the test.

    Droplist Review

Droplist really wants to be the go-to to-do app on your iPhone. Each time it’s launched, an inspirational quote beckons you inside, encouraging you to not only make lists, but actually accomplish some of the things you’ve written. It’s so friendly and cheerful, you might feel guilty closing it. But even without the deep thoughts, I wouldn’t be scrambling to delete Droplist from my iPhone.

How to Batch-Resize Images with Automator

If you find yourself performing the same actions on your Mac again and again, open up Automator and see if you can program a workflow, which you can save as an application and run from your Dock or with any application launcher. Alternatively, you can set up a Folder Action, which means that Automator watches a specified folder, and anything you put in that folder gets processed instantly.

In our example, we’ll set up an Automator workflow to resize images for our blog, save them as JPEGs, and rename the files. But poke around Automator’s actions library and you’ll probably find ways to speed up your own most-performed tasks, too.

Focus is the kind of app we never thought we needed, but once we started using it, we had a lot of fun. Functionally, Focus is pretty simple. The app allows you to crop photos, adjust the focal point of photos by blurring details, and adjust color vividness. Though Focus features only these few functions, it performs them well.

    Wonderputt Review

Miniature golf courses are typically defined by whimsical themes and dynamic challenges, and a wide array of video games have captured the formula over the years -- but not quite like this. Rather than zoom in for a single hole across a larger map, Wonderputt puts nearly the entire course right in front of you from the start, with gorgeous visual design and fantastic animation that shows the world shifting to create new goals until the ball blasts off into space on the 18th hole.

Can you advise the steps that I should take in order to transfer my contacts from Outlook on Windows so that I can easily import them to my Mac? I will be retiring from my employer and turning in my PC, and my new MacBook Pro hasn’t arrived yet.

I have a life-long passion for art. Unfortunately, due to the usual demands of adulthood, I haven’t drawn since architecture school 20 years ago. I’ve also been slow to try my hand at creating digital art because the software and graphics tablets seemed too darn expensive.

iPod nano: 7 Generations of Change

It might not make as many headlines as the iPhone, but no other product in Apple's catalogue has gone through so many radical design changes as the iPod nano. Virtually unrecognizable from generation to generation, the iPod nano is kind of like Jonathan Ive's personal playground, a blank canvas where he can let his imagination run wild.
