At first glance, we figured the Naughtibod to be a great adult iPod accessory and a fantastic gift for audiophile sweethearts. And it very may well be all of that, but with a few practical caveats.

If you’re not an audiophile with a fetish for the absolute highest fidelity in audio reproduction, nothing we can say will ever persuade you to drop 4 Gs on an iPod dock-and-amp combo.

Count us among the many who were skeptical about CD-ripping services. The basic concept is this: Ship off your CD collection, and get it back in a few days with professionally ripped iTunes-ready digital versions.

Instead of lugging a boom box from room to room or turning up the volume on your stereo or TV really loud, the lets you blast tunes all around your house via a network.
