Today's the release of the iPad 2 in Europe, and our friends across the pond at Tap! magazine are currently waiting in line at the Bath, England Apple Store for their very own second-generation tablet. They've graciously provided us with a couple of videos from the line to give us "Yankee blokes" (see what I did there?) a look at what iPad 2 launches are like overseas (hint: they're totally the same as ours).
It's back! The Mac|Life Show has returned. You might remember last week's epic green screen photos from our new studio and this week we're bringing you the new show in blazing color and stereophonic sound.
This week we already start missing Bertrand Serlet, OS X gets an update and AT&T opens up its piggy bank to buy T-Mobile. Plus, Flo gets a foot taller.
Valve and Aperture Science have teamed up to bring you, the fans, an exciting video series. And yes, the Aperture we're referring to is of the Portal 2 variety. The release date of the long-anticipated game is fast approaching, and to celebrate Valve is releasing a number of documentary-style videos to promote the game.
For gamers everywhere, this is seriously the best Valentine's Day ever. First, Valve officially opens up pre-orders for the die hard Portal fans, and then they release another teaser trailer to warm our hearts and quell the wait for April 18, the official release date. This will be especially comforting for those of us munching on our own drug store purchased box of chocolates tonight. And for those of you sharing today with a loved one, make sure to pass on the trailer and tell them how excited you are to eventually play the game with them co-op when it's eventually released.
Like the week of the Verizon iPhone, there was one story that was the dominator of the news here, and that story was Macworld Expo 2011. We've got videos, we've got galleries, we've got stories, we've got interviews. We've got it all. And here it all is, just in case...yeah, yeah, you know, just In Case You Missed It.
The idea of anything happening to our Macs or iOS devices sends us into a frenzy. Personally, this editor would rather not ever take her Mac products out of the house, lest they get a few scratches on their chassis or fall to their deaths. Fortunately, for us co-dependent computer and mobile device owners, FastMac's family of Impact Shield impact resistant cases prevent anything awful from happening to your precious gear. In fact, they'll even protect your precious candy-coated M&Ms. Take a look at the video for a demo.
