bb was recently promoted. I think it was about three months ago, or so.

I just like how XYZ can't even come back to his own personal bitchfests. Maybe he's packed up and left town?

Nope. He posted elsewhere on Sat 8/27 at 5:18pm. He's just avoiding his own thread.

Re: Deleting posts isn't the way to win arguments
(disclaimer: I didn't read the entire thread -- only enough of it to see the majority of it is sailing on XYZ for his complaining tone. This post will continue with that theme.)
<observation>
Hi XYZ:
I don't really know you, and if we've conversed on the MAF before, I don't recall. It seems you hang out mostly in the places I dare not venture (mainly minithink), so I'm not really familiar with the majority of your posts. I do, however, frequent most of the other forums in the MAF, and I just thought I'd communicate to you the perceptions of a neutral "outsider": one who isn't involved with your threads or the controversies thereby resulting.
Your posts here in FFF have a tendency to be (...how can I communicate this effectively, yet diplomatically...) -- well, let's put it this way:
Do you know how William Shatner went from being Sci-Fi Superstud to Fanboy Hero to a joke to a shell of his former self? Your posts are like present-day William Shatner. Well, actually, that's not accurate...you see, at least he realizes he's a shadow of his former self, and he capitalizes on the joke. He *gets* it. Your posts, OTOH, actually seem to be serious complaints that take themselves entirely too seriously. Reading them has become some twisted form of guilty pleasure (or a constant annoyance, depending on who you ask).
The problem with those sorts of complaints, though, is that they are often dismissed as "bitchy whiney boo-hoo" posts, because, well...that's pretty much what they are.
I have nothing against you; nor am I familiar with the threads you often come in here complaining about, but the common denominator in all of these "stop the oppression!" posts in FFF is, that's right: the screen name "XYZ". That should tell you something.
Again, this is from a neutral outsider: these threads portray you as a spoiled brat who somehow feels a sense of entitlement or privilege (...and I'm referring mostly to your own posts, not the pages of retorts that they generate).

Re: Deleting posts isn't the way to win arguments
I have absolutely no problem with XYZ, and I do not discriminate against him in any way. I would post as I do with him, with anyone who makes such posts.
What I mean to say is that he is very good at making himself a target.

I guess that pretty much sums up my feelings on the matter. Much more efficient than my little essay above.
