COD or MOH, which is better?

I've played both games, and all expansion packs (regrettably on the PC, but it was at work, I'm too poor to afford a new Mac that can run the newer games, I'm still stuck on my B&W G3, and I love it to death) and I think the Call of Duty games are much much better. The gameplay, visuals and AI is much more polished. And United Offensive is just mindbogglingly beautiful. Who feels the same way? Who feels differently?

And the reason why I'm posting in a Mac forum is because even though I'm stuck playing the game on a PC, I'm a die-hard Mac user. Side question, would COD play on the Mac minis?

Re: COD or MOH, which is better?

yes COD should play on a mac mini. as long as your version of COD is compatible to the mac platform. Then iff it is compatible, you need to have the right amount of RAM, disk space and whatnot. but if u have all of that, then it should work.

I'd opt for a system with more VRAM if you can. The R9200 in the Mini is very weak.

Its a crappy iBook, not a Mini. And if it had been my choice I would have had Apple replace it with a PowerBook instead of another iBook.

Re: COD or MOH, which is better?

I just got a Mac Mini (so cute) for my dad... BUT when he's not using it, I was thinking of using it for my own nefarious gaming needs... I need to buy some more RAM for it, but I don't want to spend money on CoD (cuz MoH drove me nuts while I was playing it) if I can't play it well (and when I say well, I mean w/o lag or slow frame rates, I want at least 20 fps) I don't want to buy it...

I really should save my money up to buy a cheese grater G5 instead >.>;; Then I won't have to be wondering if I will be able to play games on it decently or not!

Heck yeah!!!! MOH characters seems like a bunch stiffs. My fingers could do more fluid movents than those stiffs. Graphics is awful in MOH compared to COD,  maybe it's the desert enviro. Just give me more COD.

"Jerries in the kitchen" Noville 1-13.
That's the most intense level of COD/UO.

Foy 7-13 wasn't bad either. I love this game.

I'm a bigger fan of CoD. Speaking of which, I guess there isn't a CoD division of [MA]?

Booya! I got a nice machine now (G5) and now I need to test my fragging skills with some CoD! Hey MacAddict, how about a CoD forum for us? (and a CoD widget like the one for Wolf).

Re: COD or MOH, which is better?

We had a COD forum and a COD division before the forum changeover. It never really went anywhere.

Re: COD or MOH, which is better?

There was some stirring in the beginning but...it just fizzled out quickly. The old MOH division actually lasted longer and had their own server for a lil while. Then it fizzled too. It was enevitable really since the divisions started after the WWII gaming genre had pretty much peaked. These forums here are just the bare bones of what was. The division leader who ran MOH finally gave up on running it awhile ago.

Re: COD or MOH, which is better?

CoD is a far better game than MoH was. Especially in singleplayer and especially considering the monstrosity to gaming that were the MoH expansion packs.

N.B. I can barely run CoD on my PowerBook (e.g. 10-20 fps) and it is still quite playable (unlike Halo for example). By quite playable I mean I can beat it without an enourmous amount of effort or reloading on the highest difficulty. United Offensive is quite good too (Bomber and Trenches primarily).

Re: COD or MOH, which is better?

So someone ran a CoD server for Mac players before? Or do you mean like people got together, played, but now everyone moved onto other things?
