Client for OS 9.1?

I have a Power Mac 6500 that I'd like to put to use as more than backing up files to.  Is there an OS 9 client?  I know it'd be slow, doesn't bother me too much.

Re: Client for OS 9.1?

There is no OS 9 software for BOINC (the open source distributed computing structure that SET runs on now) hence no client software for SETI.

Well, there is a SETI Classic, but it's supposed to become unusable "any day now." Has been for almost two years, iirc. I don't know where you can download it.

If you really wanted, you could probably port the BOINC software to Mac OS 9, but...

I think there's a functional Folding@Home OS 9 client. It's been a while so I don't know for sure, but there was once.

P.S. - looks like you might be able to find a PPC Linux version, if you're geeky and really want to run SETI.
