Quick Answers article Nov 05
in the question titled "Norton Uninstall" the user asks how to uninstall Norton Utilities and you guys go on and on about downloading an FTP client (which seems to have nothing to do with the article), paying $25 or $30 for it, and then explain a bunch of other confounded instructions. I had to read it 4 times before I realized that, yes, you DID intend to write everything there and that it was actually relative!
here's the easy way. from the finder hit Command+K. Enter the FTP address as you gave it. press connect. copy the uninstall file that pops up to your desktop, unstuff and run. done.
most importantly it's FREE! I'm dissapointed.

The reason that we included the FTP stuff was that we discovered that on some machines the process that you outlined worked, and on some others it didn't -- and we couldn't for the life of us figure out why (though Niko might have by now).
In retrospect, we prob'ly shoud've included that caveat.

Or you can type the FTP address in Safari and it will mount (at least it did with the previous version of Safari--not sure if it works now).
