Re: KOTOR cheats
You may have better luck asking this in the "Games" Forum.

Re: KOTOR cheats
Those that cheat playing Kotor, are not playing Kotor.
Seriously, its a fun game and should be played legit. You gain levels quickly enough anyway.
Although, the idea of playing a Uber-Jedi with all the force powers seems quite interesting.

Re: KOTOR cheats
You've checked places like cheatcc right? Just see what there is for the PC cheats. Hopefully they are the same. I've seen the cheats but i've never used them. Only thing i'd like to do is be able to get the KOTOR music out of the game. The wav files are saved in a way where you can't open them in anything.

Re: KOTOR cheats
What, the racing is loads of fun. I only cheated at the end once because if you build your character for one side and then decide to go psycho you can't really use your force powers anymore.

Re: KOTOR cheats
I figured it out! Well, not me, I was msged by someone who I guess either saw this thread or some others on KOTOR music and they told me how to rework the music files and what sound tools to use
. Works for KOTOR2 also but sadly the music in KOTOR2 are really low quality compared to KOTOR. Almost not worth the time it takes to re-encode them.
Theres just one big problem, you need a PC to do it since you need the Miles Sound Tools to be able to read the music files and also to encode them as a readable format
. Real interesting once you hear some of the music because some of it is for some of the movie sequences in the game. The guys that did KOTOR didn't combine all the video and sound into one.

Re: KOTOR cheats
I've known the cheats now for 6 months. I didn't start using them until after I had completed the game three times without them. Turns out there was a .ini file which strangely could be edited in textedit.

Re: KOTOR cheats
search for it. you can only get the file if you've installed it on your computer, so if you're playing off of the disc, you're out of luck.

Re: KOTOR cheats
The swoop bike races with KOTOR 2 totally screwed up for me... No matter how fast I went, or if I finished or not, the judges or whoever would say that I didn't finish the race. Really made me mad at times.

I know what you are talking about, however when i changed the .ini file the console would not appear? Could you be of assistance?
Thanks

You can probably fix them for the Mac too. They are just standard MP3s with stupid WAV file headers on the front, IIRC. You can probably hand-edit them in something like HexEdit to fix them.

Re: KOTOR cheats
Resedit would probably do that nicely, tho it be time consuming going file by file and doing it by hand. Course if you only wanted certain songs then that would be fine, you'd just have to figure out which ones are which.
