Re: "Axis of Evil"

Gnom: There is a column below the one about the UN and genocide that is about American Imperialism. You've got to scroll down until after the "What do you think?" feedback form. I missed it the first time also.

Re: "Axis of Evil"

Ah, I see.  I didn't know I had to scroll down a ways to find it.  Some coordinates would have helped.  I have a lot to say about Reynolds' short-sighted comments, but I'm not going to waste my time unless Hillbilly plans to make an actual statement on the subject.  I'm no sucker.  We've all seen this tactic before used by someone with no arguement: spin out of an arguement by posting a link (as if it were his ideas) and stand by watching everyone fight over it.  I'm not biting.  Hillbilly has made zero arguement here.

bullsmurf.  I could post what I think, but it'd be the same thing that that guy wrote, hence the link.  roll

So, I've presented my side.  Care to counter?  Or are you just going to pout?

hillbilly, are you or are you not the one that suggested helping North Korea in attacking Berkeley California with nuclear weapons?

Okay.  Let me go find a link that says what I'm thinking.

I didn't search for that link.  It was one I had known about already and had ready access to. roll

Damn, you're dense.

Damn, you're dense.

The purpose of debate, particularly in a forum like this, is to express your own ideas with your own writing, and to sometimes use outside sources as supporting evidence. It's basic "school research paper" kinda stuff.

There are other MAF members who tend to do this sort of "link and run" routine, and nobody gives those people much notice because mainly we like to see people think for themselves. (Oh, and the people I'm referring to are on the political left, since that seems to matter to you.)

I'm with gnom on this one. You've made no argument because you haven't shown you even understand what the article you've linked to is even trying to say. You give no interpretation of it, and offer no exposition on how it augments or supports your own thinking. That article is somebody else's ideas and reasoning and doesn't show that you are capable of discussing this issue in any way.

The article makes the point I would make.  Why type what's already been written?  Seems quite pointless.

Is all your thinking and "self"-expression done by other people?

GMAFB

Look, I could type a few pages worth of text or I can link to something that would say the same things.  Obviously, posting a link is more efficient. roll
