That would be VERY welcome, although I would have thought it to be unlikely so soon.
Oh, and I love that VW commercial.

That's an odd statement. Why, what's up?
College time! Laptop required.
I have faith they'll release it at least by June though, and ThinkSecret thinks it'll be even earlier. If I'm really lucky, I might even get a Rev2 before then.
If not, though, I'll definitely get AppleCare. That should cover any quirks with Rev1 hardware.
Hope before school next year, need a laptop for freshman year college.
Dont worry Mr iMac you will be back, we'll keep the chocolate warm for you.
Gee, you got a Windows box to blue screen? That's inconceivable!
Thank you Macskeeball for my great new avatar!

Very minor updates to the powerbooks were very recently done - I can't see them upgrading again in January. I suppose they might.
If not - Oats, how about an ibook to tide you over? You can always sell it for rev B of a intel pbook - and it is sure to be faster than your oldtimer there.

I don't know... I don't think I could convince Mrs. Oats to let me buy a new comptuter in June only to sell it to buy a new one in August or September, you know?
Hell, I don't think I could convince myself on that one.

Never mind. I must have gotten the "news" mixed up with some editorials last June. I just reread the trasncript, and while Jobs hinted that laptops would be the first place the Intel CPUs found a home, he didn't outright promise anything. Oopsie.

Very interesting if true. Could be a new PB in my future as well, if this is the case.

Wait, is this "Yonah" going to be 64bit? If not WTF? Doesn't look like all that impressive of an offering to me. Especially since it was mentioned about putting an iCam in the 'book. Blech. What a waste of critical space.

I can't imagine they'll let the iSight take up any more room than would have been by the screen bezel anyways.
If it does, though, I'll definitely second that WTF?.

I want a camera, but also the good software to go with it. Although I wouldn't want a camera if it made the screen as thick as those dell ones.
