FontExplorer Pro from LinoType

http://www.linotype.com/fontexplorerX

PLEASE review this once it's become a full-fledged app. It works SOOOOOO much better than that other app (you know... the one that comes with a lot of "luggage")

Re: FontExplorer Pro from LinoType

The problem will be if it stays free: we don't review free or shareware (given that there are many more products than we have room for), figuring that if someone's interested in it, they can go try it themselves. Supposedly there's going to be a Suitcase-Font Reserve hybrid out in early 2006, about the time Font Explorer goes final, so we'll probably try to find a way to look at both of them.

I love what I've seen of Font Explorer X, myself. We've put it in our roundup of free and bargain software in the upcoming February issue.

Re: FontExplorer Pro from LinoType

I would think a font utility from a respected foundry like Linotype would be considered somewhat more seriously than your run of the mill freeware CS student offering.
