What ever happened to saying "Merry Christmas?"
You know I don't use the word hate too often but there are a few things I really hate...
1. Politically correct snobs... I'm sorry, but Merry Christmas! Not Happy Holidays, not Season Greetings, or anything else.. Merry Christmas! For as far back as I can remember I have been told Merry Christmas, when did that change? Come on people, is it really that bad to actually still say Merry Christmas, and have a Happy New Year?
2. People without spines, or think skins... You can't say anything around these people without them either feeling disgruntled, offended, or file a report on you because you offended them, or people around them, although no one really complained but them... give me a break, when did the people of the US become so pussy whipped that we worry about "Did I offend women?", or "Did I offend homosexuals?" or whatever with a statement I made?
3. Music remakes, now come on, there are some things that are fine, but doing a cover song for The Gambler, and re-wording it to make it more PC, is blasphemy... They not only can't sing the song great, but they make it so it doesn't offend anyone... the original song is innocent of all things bad, and people with something that crawled up their ass and died are the ones bitching about songs being negative for the kids... yet the don't do anything about rap, and talking about raping hoes, beating bitches or anything else... why is that? Oh yeah I forgot freedom of speech...
This country is becoming too touchy felly for my taste, when will the US wake up to what they are doing to themselves and realize they are hurting no one buy themselves in the long run?
Wondering if declaring war on Fanatic Muslims doesn't mean we are attacking the Muslim religion, if it does to the rest of the Muslims, perhaps we should really look more closely at the religion and see what is wrong and why it's allowed to be practiced if all that is, is hate?
So when can I get off this roller coaster and back into the real world, this ride sucks.

I have yet to see ANYONE bitch about use of the term "Merry Christmas." All I see is a lot of bitching by people claiming that 'someone' is trying to keep them from doing so.

Work for Apple, Office Max, KMart, Sears, or any other main chain, they are not allowed to say Merry Christmas, it is either Happy Holidays or nothing.

Re: What ever happened to saying "Merry Christmas?"
Stores haven't dropped Merry Christmas because they want to be politically correct -- they've dropped it because they want to sell things. In addition to Christmas, Hanukkah and Kwanzaa also take place during what is known as "The Holiday Season" (New Years Day is in there, too), so stores want to make sure they're on your list when it comes time to finding gifts no matter which holiday you're celebrating. If you want to be mad at anyone for this, be mad at the free market.

Glad to see you're still capable of posting utterly moronic tripe, as usual. A few questions for you:
1) So, who's STOPPING you from saying "Merry Christmas" and what happens when you do?
2) Is it really that horrible to say "Happy Hollidays"? Do you essplode if you say it?
3) What freedom has been curtailed and what governmental force is doing so in regard to your use of "Merry Christmas"?
4) What in hell do you flippin' care if someone rewords "The Gambler"??!? Are you against their "Freedom of Speech" to do so? WHY DO YOU EVEN CARE? HELLO!! It's "The Gambler" fer flip's sakes!!
If "this country's getting too touchy feely for [your] taste", please feel free to move to a more theocratic/dictatorial one.
Happy Holidays.

War on christmas! Moronic christians bringing attention to a total non issue! Wooo!
Not everyone celebrates christmas. Saying Happy Holidays is a very easy way to include all people. What the hell is wrong with this? Happy Holidays has been on par with Merry Christmas for as long as I can remember. What a piece of idiocy.
I could bore you with a philosophical tirade about freedom and tyranny, or try and explain to you what new horizons are suddenly open to me, but I doubt you would understand and if you did it might frighten you. That amuses me.

Dude, you'd feel pretty persecuted too if your religion wasn't represented anywhere at all in government except the White House and a piddly-ass little 99% of Congress and every state legislature besides the vast majority of judges.

This fabricated, non existant War on Christmas™ is just another platform from which the Fallwells et al can fundraise.

Jerry: And I agree totally with you that the Lord has protected us so wonderfully these 225 years. And since 1812, this is the first time that we've been attacked on our soil and by far the worst results. And I fear, as Donald Rumsfeld, the Secretary of Defense, said yesterday, that this is only the beginning. And with biological warfare available to these monsters -- the Husseins, the Bin Ladens, the Arafats -- what we saw on Tuesday, as terrible as it is, could be miniscule if, in fact -- if, in fact -- God continues to lift the curtain and allow the enemies of America to give us probably what we deserve.
Pat: Jerry, that's my feeling. I think we've just seen the antechamber to terror. We haven't even begun to see what they can do to the major population.
Jerry: The ACLU's got to take a lot of blame for this.
Pat: Well yes.
Jerry: And, I know that I'll hear from them for this. But, throwing God out successfully with the help of the federal court system, throwing God out of the public square, out of the schools. The abortionists have got to bear some burden for this because God will not be mocked. And when we destroy 40 million little innocent babies, we make God mad. I really believe that the pagans, and the abortionists, and the feminists, and the gays and the lesbians who are actively trying to make that an alternative lifestyle, the ACLU, People For the American Way -- all of them who have tried to secularize America -- I point the finger in their face and say "you helped this happen."
Pat: Well, I totally concur, and the problem is we have adopted that agenda at the highest levels of our government. And so we're responsible as a free society for what the top people do. And, the top people, of course, is the court system.
Jerry: Pat, did you notice yesterday the ACLU and all the Christ-haters, People For the American Way, NOW, etc. were totally disregarded by the Democrats and the Republicans in both houses of Congress as they went out on the steps and called out on to God in prayer and sang "God Bless America" and said "let the ACLU be hanged". In other words, when the nation is on its knees, the only normal and natural and spiritual thing to do is what we ought to be doing all the time - calling upon God.
Pat: Amen.

Merry Christmas, Cyberpawz!
Jesus said to the servants, "Fill the jars with water"; so they filled them to the brim. Then he told them, "Now draw some out and take it to the master of the banquet." They did so, and the master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine. He did not realize where it had come from, though the servants who had drawn the water knew.

Will who?
Oh-- him. Now I remember. Back when we used to play TNG- The Drinking Game, whenever someone would say the name "Wesley", we'd yell "Wussley!" and drink.
Turns out others had the same idea, like them and them. Our list wasn't quite as long as either of those, but dilithium crystals was definitely a two-drinker. Both of those leave out "Worf suggests a violent course of action". I thought that one was obvious...
