Photoshop 2.0 instaling problem

I am unable to install Photoshop Elements 2.0 on my iMac running OS10.3.9. The error message is "Error creating file 1008:5,-5000 Access error denied” The other message is "Items remaining 248 Installing FntNames.db".

I have tried running repair permissions (suggested by Adobe help form) and MacJanitor, to no avail. I also have OS 9.2 on the machine.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Bad install disk - I would call Adobe.

If you don't have an install disk - pirate

Ah, good ol' Photoshop 2.0.

I probably still have the 720k install disks around here somewhere.

Re: Photoshop 2.0 instaling problem

I think the title of this thread is a typo - it should probably read "Photoshop Elements 2.0 installing problem."

Re: Photoshop 2.0 instaling problem

I have use two different disks (from the site licence) to try and install, and am using the administator account. Alas, no luck. A corrupt file, perhaps?

Is this a new disk? Did you just receive it/buy it?

I didn't know elements was available with a site license. I thought it was a single license consumer level single seat only type of deal.

Contact Adobe.

Re: Photoshop 2.0 instaling problem

This person PM'd me and said that they got it working.  Probably just tried it again or something.  He/she should be happily Photoshopping holiday stuff with his/her kids.

Re: Photoshop 2.0 instaling problem

Well, I have not had any luck in getting it to install. It always hangs up at a "Items remaining 248 Installing FntNames.db". Funny thing is it installed into my iBook no problem.
